Every town deserves the Gospel.

One town, one prayer, one Bible study at a time — until every one of South Dakota’s 66 counties has a church.

Who we are

Every town deserves a real effort to reach its people with the love of Jesus Christ. Our calling is to carry that effort into every town in South Dakota, starting prayer and Bible study groups and helping them grow into churches.

Why South Dakota

Drive through rural South Dakota and you'll pass hundreds of small towns, many of them without a thriving, Spirit-filled church. The distances are long, the resources are thin, and it's easy for towns like these to get overlooked. But every one of them is full of people God cares about. That's why we exist. We're affiliated with the UPCI, and since 2006 we've watched God move in Watertown, Milbank, Webster, Brookings, and Sisseton.

Next Town Ministries

Pastor Mark Brown.

Pastor Mark Brown and his wife Jordan have been married for 21 years, and they're blessed with three children: Noah Jackson, Grace Nichole, and Eden Michal.

They attended Indiana Bible College from 2002 to 2006. It was there the Lord spoke to them about moving to South Dakota to preach the Gospel. After much prayer, they moved to Watertown in 2006 and relaunched a church work. Over the next 15 years, The Jesus Church saw revival and growth, and in 2021 the church elected Jared Kemmis as pastor and Mark Brown as Bishop.

Now Mark and Jordan travel from town to town, praying for rural revival and planting churches in the next town, always beginning with prayer and Bible study groups.
